TONIGHT'S RALSTON REPORTS: The Bob councilmen on the soccer stadium saga
DAYS UNTIL THE GREATEST LEGISLATIVE SESSION EVER BEGINS: 70
DAYS UNTIL THE 2016 election: 715
Good morning, everyone. It happened early Sunday morning (there goes my weekend catch-up slumber), and The Ira Era was over before it started, with him playing the victim and still enabled by fools and knaves. And within an hour after Hansen informed the caucus, Michele Fiore was answering the question: What is...
Good morning, everyone. The Ira Era has had a somewhat inauspicious beginning. After sounding pragmatic on my program and privately to others, and having separated himself from the well-known clan that has always seemed far out of the mainstream, that Dennis Myers piece has made Speaker-Designate-but-not-yet-Speaker Ira Hansen into a national laughingstock. And he’ll probably survive, which could only happen in Nevada (or maybe Mississippi) and in that caucus, where one wag texted me about his...
TONIGHT'S RALSTON REPORTS: Reaction to POTUS speech
DAYS UNTIL THE GREATEST LEGISLATIVE SESSION EVER BEGINS: 74
DAYS UNTIL THE 2016 election: 719

Imagine how frustrated I am with tech failures. Makes me even more curmudgenonly (scary thought). The good news (I hope) is that I have switched companies...
So what did prominent elected officials and others give thanks for on Thursday?
I happen to know:
Gov. Brian Sandoval: For the Nevada Democrats. For a Goodman being hard to find. For the red wave (but did it have to be SO big?).
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid: For Brian Sandoval and Joe Heck loving where they are. For the Assembly Republican Caucus. For making it to 75 on Tuesday – a k a for his eighth life (or is it his ninth?).
Sen. Dean Heller: For not too many people noticing that he ran...
In a series of emails sent last night to his caucus, Non-Speaker-Designate Ira Hansen instructed his colleagues that he is still in charge, that committee assignments will remain in effect and that his replacement as speaker will have to hire the chief of staff he hired and the policy person he wanted.
Oh, this is going to be some session, folks.
